AR Job 101 - Senior Recruiter
This opportunity is best for an energetic, organized, career driven person who understands IT and enjoys building relationships. You must be a self starter with ability to successfully develop business, manage accounts and source IT candidates. You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, provide client service, negotiate salaries and build/maintain a network within the IT / HR community. A sound understanding of IT platforms, systems, terms and market trends would make you a suitable candidate for this opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in agency recruitment and a post secondary education in Business or HR.
What do you need to succeed? Along with a positive attitude, outstanding interpersonal, communication and time-management, you must:
- Have a good network of HR and or IT industry contacts in Vancouver
- Have a strong interest in consulting, where conducting client visits, doing needs assessments, and handling overall client portfolio needs is standard
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and connect with potential employers
- Conduct work requirement analysis and write out job descriptions for employers
- Leverage your network to find job postings
- Meeting and presenting our company and job candidates to potential employers.
- Source & Recruit technical candidates using a wide range of tools & processes including our internal database, Monster, Workopolis, LinkedIn, Referrals, etc
- Screen, interview, prepare, & present a wide range of technical consultants to our clients.
- Select & qualify candidates.
- Draft Candidate Matrices.
- Technical recruiters must understand some very complex job requirements. Because many technical employees are imported from all over the world, technical recruiters must understand immigration issues.
- To successfully work as a recruiter, the successful candidate must possess exceptional communication skills. You must have a keen understanding of employment law. You must possess stellar interpersonal skills, as will be interacting with candidates of all demographics.
- You will have responsibilities in the areas of managing and expanding existing client relationships, identifying and recruiting top talent, matching quality candidates with premiere employers, and following through with successful placements.
