AR Job 805 – Business Intelligence Developer
Our client a leader in voice-enabled social networking, is looking for a full-time Business Intelligence Developer to join their organization.
What You’ll Do
As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for helping enterprise and B2B clients make better business decisions via providing timely, accurate and scalable business information solutions in the form of web-based and printed reports. In addition, you will:
- Design and implement business intelligence delivery channels according to customer needs
- Ensure the development of best practices and standards for BI product development
- Design and implement ETL processes (Extract Transform and Load) to populate the data warehouse (relational and multidimensional) from operational data and other data sources
- Work closely with the Database team to improve and leverage the design of enterprise data stores
- Implement proactive measures to ensure verifiably accurate information is delivered to business users on time
- Serve as a point-of-contact for questions regarding the quality of the business information provided by the team. Follow up with the appropriate teams/individuals to resolve problems identified during investigations
- Ensure quality and timeliness of estimates and product delivery to support the development of new BI products
- Communication with end users to gather requirements and approach
Who You Are
You are a strong team player who not only works well within your own team but also cross-functionally. You are an excellent communicator who is able to communicate at both business and technical levels. In addition, you possess excellent written skills proven by your previous experience in creating detailed professional technical documentation.
In addition, you also possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum three years’ business intelligence development experience
- Minimum three years’ database development experience
- Solid experience with T-SQL and MS-SQL Server 2005/2008
- Solid background in SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Analysis Services
- Proven experience with Data Warehousing concepts
- Proven experience with OLAP and MDX
- Familiarity with Pro Clarity
- Familiarity with Telecommunication environment
- Diploma from publicly accredited post-secondary technical institution an asset
