AR Job 806 – Business Analyst

Our client a leader in voice-enabled social networking, is looking for a full-time Business Analyst to join their organization.

What You’ll Do

As a Business Analyst, you will define business problems and provide recommended solutions to ensure that business requirements support business objectives. You will provide clear, complete, concise and non-ambiguous requirements documentation for software development projects.

In addition, you will:

• Analyze/understand current business challenges; map current business processes to the new system or service; ensure the context and implications of change are understood by the business stakeholders and the project team
• Participate in the development of business cases, including identifying business and technical alternatives as well as, identifying risks, and creating the cost/benefit for each alternative
• Facilitate problem-solving discussion sessions and joint application design sessions
• Work with business experts to assess business value of their projects; analyze, understand and define their requirements
• Work with the project champion and the project team to “decompose” the project into features, and group the features into release components with logical release flow
• Work with the project champion to prioritize and rationalize the requirements
• Act as a liaison between development, QA and business owners throughout the development lifecycle
• Develop and manage business requirements artifacts based on industry standards
• Assist with the development of the organization’s requirements engineering policies, procedures, and tools, including use and continuous improvement of a requirement process.

Who Are You
You are an excellent communicator with superb listening skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with and tactfully manage multiple users with diverging interests. You are highly analytical and enjoy problem solving. Your excellent time management and organizational skills allow you to stay on top of multiple projects at the same time.

In addition, you also possess the following skills and experience:

• 3-5 years’ experience in the software development industry, including successfully completed large software development projects from requirements through implementation
• Business and/or computer science degree
• Expert in all aspects of Business Redesign, Organizational and Workflow Analysis, and Change Management
• Solid experience in developing ROI models and business cases
• Technical expertise with understanding of data modeling, client/server architectures and object-oriented approaches
• Strong facilitation experience for workshops and meetings to draw out business requirements

Furthermore, the following would be additional nice-to-have skills and experience:

• Experienced with financial related systems
• Experience with agile methodologies
