MANAGER, PRODUCTION APPLICATION & INTEGRATION SERVICES
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role supervises the Production Application and Integration Services team by assigning tasks, balancing the workloads, and providing guidance on complex problem resolution. Coordinates hiring, training, and orientation of new employees; evaluates performance on an ongoing basis and conducts performance reviews. Contributes to the budget planning process and maintains overall accountability to ensure service, efficiency, and quality standards are met. Provides advice, guidance and operational support to clients in the areas of Production Systems (ERP, CRM, Banking, etc), Integration (MS SSIS, Data Warehouse, Interfaces, etc.), Vendor & Contract management, Projects, and Procurement.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Participate as a project manager and active member of the Production Application & Integration
Services team in the planning, design, evaluation, and installation of the credit union’s production
systems by applying a defined system development/project methodology and project management
techniques to effectively execute all project stages. - Stewards systems development & software support for: i-WB, CRM, LOS, and other business
systems, application software vendor management – vendor relationships, contract performance,
intellectual property acquisition, adherence of systems development to corporate standards - Stewards applications and data architecture supporting IT strategy, business applications
requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and systems development for all
distribution channels. - Develop standards, policies, documentation, processes and procedures for approval and
implementation; identify opportunities to improve or streamline processes. - Act as the key contact between I&O and the business, when required, to ensure business
requirements are being met. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business
units, partners and service providers to ensure successful project implementation. - Design and implement new and revised enterprise computing system configurations in consultation
with direct manager. - Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the Production Application & Integration
Services team; assign tasks and activities; monitor and balance workloads of the team; provide
consultation and direction on problems and issues. - Conduct coaching and performance appraisals; identify the need for additional learning and
development; establish performance standards and objectives. - Oversee system testing, performance tracking and security reviews; final escalation specialized
support; acting as an integration specialist in the application of systems, software, and hardware
to the technical environment; translate user and technology requirements into technical
requirements, design, specifications and alternatives as directed. - Responsible for keeping the credit union abreast of developments and trends in new technologies;
research and assess their value to the organization and make related recommendations. - Contribute research and analytical support in the evaluation and delivery of new enterprise
computing products, services and technology by evaluating new software and hardware products
and tools and making related recommendations; keep abreast of all changes in vendor offerings,
industry trends and strategic directions for enterprise computing; work in a consultative role with
users to determine needs and technical solutions. - Contribute to the attainment of divisional quality, financial performance and sales/service delivery
targets and service levels. - Participate in regular department meetings to discuss current activities and consult on problems
and issues; ensure the smooth flow of communication between all team members while contributing
to overall team effectiveness. - Provide weekly/monthly status reports on team activity.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- University degree or college diploma in business administration, computer science or information
technology along with a minimum of seven to 10 years work experience in IT in a progressively
more senior role and a minimum of 5 years’ management experience - Broad knowledge and expertise in technology focused business practices including an understanding
of service agreements as related to commercial IT/IS systems - Excellent understanding of project management and project life cycles
- Functional knowledge of budget planning, cost control and capital/expense approval and
management procedures required - Financial analysis and business case development experience
- The individual must have experience in supporting an operational environment with supervisory
experience - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities including effective coaching and delegation
- Proven ability to manage and implement projects involving cross departmental teams
- Strong negotiating skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work well in a high-pressure environment with aggressive
timelines - Listening non-judgmentally to information presented by others
