Our client looking for a full time Network Engineer to join their team.
As a Network Engineer, you will help design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain both voice and data networks (corporate and business related). The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing, maintaining, and enhancing a highly fluid network, and understands the challenge of supporting a 24×7 operation. This position requires a strong understanding of all aspects of a highly converged corporate network and the ability to troubleshoot, identify and resolve very complex problems in a timely and professional manner. The role also requires strong execution and focus to meet the needs of internal and external paying customers. We are looking for a Network Engineer that can thrive in a performance driven but rewarding environment.
In addition, you will:
- Ensure LAN/MAN/WAN/SIP/Telecom network integrity
- Design, configure and create documentation of LAN/MAN/WAN/SIP/Telecom systems (Network nodes and SIP servers)
- Maintain security within the existing network infrastructure and present execution plans to overcome any concerns in a timely fashion while still making the most cost-efficient use of resources
- Actively monitor and react to real-time network conditions and make recommendations on improving monitoring and reporting
- Document IT activities such as incidents and systems changes
- Work closely with other teams to improve current or design new architecture as needed
- Participate in maintenance of the server room environment (UPS, Generator, AC)
- Regularly interact with other team members to offer assistance in troubleshooting, and transfer of knowledge
- Must have a positive attitude while participating in on-call 24/7 support when scheduled

This is a designated “on-call” position and will be subject to the conditions of the Company’s On-Standby/On-Call Policy. The on-call requirement for this position is the availability to provide 24×7 support when scheduled.You are a strong team player who not only works well within your own team but also cross-functionally. You are an excellent communicator who is able to speak at both business and technical levels. Providing exemplary customer service comes naturally to you, and you have superior troubleshooting abilities. In addition, you possess excellent written skills proven by your previous experience in creating detailed professional technical documentation.
In addition, you also possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum five (5) years’ network engineering experience with complex networks
- Minimum five (5) years’ overall Telecom experience
- Minimum three (3) years’ SIP/VOIP experience
- Previous experience working in a PCI environment
- Solid experience in Network design and execution
- Proficient knowledge of Cisco routers and switches (CCNP)
- Proficient knowledge of VPN Networks
- Experience with network security technologies including network firewalls, application proxies and intrusion detection and prevention and network access control
- Must have experience maintaining WUG, MRTG, CIM systems
- Must have working knowledge of TCP/IP/SIP
- Linux familiarity an asset.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
- Current CCNP or CCIE considered an asset
- Industry certifications such as MCSE, MCSD, MCP etc. are an asset
