
Sr. Business Analyst – SPOK Mobile
The Business Analyst is responsible for providing leadership in business process concepts and methods to lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements.
Accountable for developing workflows, participating in analyzing and documentation including change management and training activities to ensure collective project goals are met.

The Business Analyst will be a key member of the project team. The objective is to ensure the project is delivered on time, on budget and meeting the quality, and service objectives.
The Business Analyst is responsible for providing leadership in business requirements, project activities, assisting the Project Management team through the delivery phase of initiatives, in alignment with the strategic goals of the organization.
The Business Analyst provides complex and varied functions in an environment that requires a high level of specialized skills to fulfill responsibilities. Decision-making involves complex and diverse stakeholder engagement processes in multiple health organization environments. Innovative, integrated solutions are required to position the organization to achieve full benefit from this service to support a patient centric care environment.
- The Business Analyst is an integral member of the team providing guidance to senior staff to determine requirements for the Secure Alerting and Messaging initiative.
- Works with the health organizations under VPP to identify/confirm current state and future state, and conduct a fit/gap assessment ensuring the future state operational processes
- Documents and analyzes processes, develops workflows, gathers data to support prioritize and align to business case and project charter.
- Drafts process, technical, operations, and project documentation.
- Provides input into business, functional, performance, usability requirements across mobile alerting and messaging application administration, management, usage, and support.
- Supports operational requirements by assembling, creating and maintaining the required set of information systems technical and operational documentation, according to departmental standards.
- Carries out project activities related to the implementation, monitoring and evaluation ensuring effective systems, practices, policies and timelines are appropriately aligned with the project’s goals and objectives.
- Become the VPP subject matter expert on business processes for Spōk Mobile and associated components.
- Provides solution implementation support and liaises with a broad spectrum of clinical, IT and business stakeholders and leaders across three health authorities.

Proven experience leading business processes for projects in complex environments
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement, multi-organization and multi-disciplinary team leadership skills
- Excellent communication ability (written and oral)
- Develops positive relationships with business and project stakeholders to enable
- successful project delivery
- Supports Project Management with aspects of project delivery including planning, risk management, communication, reporting, training and stakeholder engagement and navigation within health organizations, IMITS, BCCSS and other stakeholders as required
- Works with multiple health organizations to identify/confirm current state and future state, and conduct a fit/gap assessment ensuring the future state operational processes, workflows and training
- Performs quality review/assurance on project deliverables, such as project plans and project reports, highlights and escalates project risks and issues
Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:
- Previous experience in business analysis for health authorities
- A level of education, training, and experience in Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline and three (3) years of experience in health care, health informatics or information management role.
- Change management/business transformation experience desired
- Experience with Mobile applications, and iOS / Android platforms would be beneficial
- Analytical, problem solver, documentation and workflows, when in doubt errs on the side of initiative
- Strong communication skill, ability to translate technical to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, while working independently to organize workload, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Customer and service-focused in approach
- Demonstrated ability to use database, spreadsheet and word processing software at an advanced level.
- Demonstrated understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle and project management methodology.
