
Project Manager (Expert) Teletracking Expansion
Services Required:
Project Management:
- Leadership skills to coordinate and assume responsibility of the TeleTracking TransportTracking Expansion Implementation Project Manager.
- Ability to assume the role of PM with all the associated responsibility of a PM
- Deliver results as measured by project milestones and key deliverables and integrate into the culture and environment of the Fraser Health project team
- Well rounded leadership and management ability not too heavily weighted on the technology side. The PM needs skills beyond the technical acuity.
- The Project Manager will use FH Project Management methodology to manage the project.
- Develop, maintain Project Charter, Project Management Plan, Direct and Manage project execution.
- Monitor and control project work.
- Perform change control.
- Close project or phase.
- Ensure proper development, test and production environments are setup and aligned with best practices.
- Work internal and external vendors to configure and install necessary software.
- Follows the IM Department PMO process.
- Call and chair project team meetings.
- Document all findings and recommendations in a central area accessible to all project stakeholders.
Scope Management:
- Work with project resources to collect requirements, define scope, WBS creation, benefit realization, verify and control scope.
- Working with stakeholder groups to review, identify, clarify and prioritize business and technical requirements.
- Definition of project goals and responsibilities including creation of a responsibility assignment matrix.
Time Management:
- Define activities, sequence activities, estimation of resources and activity duration.
- Develop and control schedule.
Cost Management:
- Creation of a budget including but not exclusive to estimation and control of costs.
Human Resource Management:
- Develop and manage project team.
Communications Management:
- Identify stakeholders, plan, execute and distribute communications and other related project information.
- Manage stakeholder’s expectations.
- Reporting on performance, budget, schedule, meeting minutes, decisions, outcomes, risks and any other project reporting requirement.
- Provide weekly project progress/status reporting to stakeholder groups and project.
- Escalates to the project sponsors issues, and changes which are outside the PM authority (e.g. scope changes).
Risk Management:
- Perform risk management, including but not inclusive to, risk planning, identification, risk analysis, risk responses.
- Monitor and control risks.
- Identify those areas where the technical teams may lack technical know-how, or resource constraints.
- Identify relationships, connections and collaboration points between internal and external technical resources.
Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:
- Possess a proven track record supervising and managing information systems hardware and/or software implementation projects preferably in a health care environment such as FHA
- Possess an understanding of the IT clinical products marketplace and the changing Canadian health approach to managing information
- Possess exceptional English language oral and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills;
- Possess a project management professional (PMP) designation or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Project Manager leading integration projects is preferable
- Experience working in large health care organizations preferable
- Experience working at Fraser Health preferable
- Experience working on health care integration initiatives/ preferable
- Preference towards those PM’s with a balance between leadership skills (project leadership, team-member management, and change management), and technical skills.
