
Sr. Clinical Informatics / Change Lead
Services Required:
Reporting to the Project Manager, Business and Clinical Readiness and in collaboration with FWS PMs, the Senior Clinical Informatics / Change Lead will leverage 8 years of exceptional clinical informatics, clinical workflow design and process analytics skills to support clinical readiness, change readiness and business transition activities required to deliver a positive user experience and successful implementation of FWS.
The following services are expected:
- Lead clinical, change, and business transition activities at multiple Client sites including oversight, planning support, execution, and evaluation. This includes but is not limited to:
- Supporting clinical working groups to identify, evaluate and select technical solution option(s) that meet clinical needs
- Liaising with CST project managers, site clinical leaders and other stakeholders to design integrated clinical workflows
- Ensuring adherence to FWS processes and quality standards, and reporting on any variances for corrective action
- Ensuring deployments meet approved site clinical requirements / guidelines
- Ensuring overall standardization, consolidation and continuity of the Future Workspace across multiple sites
- Identifying and reporting change control requirements in close collaboration with Client / clinical leads
- Working closely with the IMITS / Client communications resources to assess, plan, design, implement, and evaluate communications approaches and tools to meet FWS Client needs
- Provide clinical thought leadership to support “pipeline” planning, development and implementation ensuring appropriate clinical context/advice and expected user experience are incorporated into implementation design. This includes but is not limited to:
- Clinical pilot / early adopters with a strong focus on clinically focused deployment
- Account set up, timeouts, GPOs, etc.
- Deployment and post- deployment issue resolution
- Clinical readiness documentation and communication support
- Work with FWS Leadership and all relevant stakeholder teams to identify, document, manage, and resolve clinical issues and risks identified during the project including mitigating clinical impacts
- Lead clinical / business analysts in support of identifying, collecting and documenting clinical / business functional requirements
- Work with the virtual Desktop team to support clinical / business solutioning, implementation, issue resolution and evaluation of Virtual Desktop solutions
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Draft reports, briefing notes, and other supporting documentation for senior management and governance working groups
- Lead, inform and develop clinical / business use cases as well as design, develop and implement new processes, systems and enhancements
- Oversee and complete business/clinical analysis and process re-engineering activities as well as identifying gaps, risks and opportunities
- Facilitate meetings (inclusive of agenda, minutes and other meeting materials)
- Standardize tools as it relates to FWS pipeline process, and where other opportunities present (i.e. EA, CST, etc.).
- Produce presentation and training materials, status reports, etc. and other related administrative tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:
We are looking for a senior clinical informatics and change specialist who is able to relate to a diverse group of Clients and other stakeholders, and anchor the virtualization of clinical workspace in the Client’s core clinical requirements. Critical skillset include:
- Strong working knowledge of hospital/clinical systems, care delivery processes, clinical roles, policies, and standards preferably gained in the PHSA, PHC or VCH environment
- Strong demonstrated experience with clinical change management; workflow modeling; and requirements management techniques with a focus on clinical informatics
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and support clinical and business analyst resources to achieve expected outcomes including:
- Extracting information and knowledge from complex sources
- Managing multiple clinical and business stakeholders
- Meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology requirements as they are introduced during the project, and applying these into a clinical context to meet user requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively facilitate discussions with a diverse group of stakeholders, users, etc.
- Exceptional ability to translate and express clinical, process and technical problems, outcomes and benefits using layperson terms
- Experience working with clinical and business operations leaders and building relationship building at all levels (i.e. end-users to C-level)
- Critical thinking skills and strong process orientation
- Organizational and time management skills
- Senior-level documentation and presentation skills
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office toolsets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Experience in UX Design preferred
- Degree in Nursing, Health Sciences/Informatics/Administration or related field is an asset
