Sr. Software Developer

The Senior Software Developer will undertake analysis, systems development and user readiness activities related to sustainment and/or project implementations. As well, he/she will be responsible for ensuring technical standards and guidelines are being followed. The candidate will take work direction from the Senior Project Manager, Profile EMR and apply Primary Care & Community Information Services Standards to the work.

Services Required: 

Deliverable Description Measure/Outcome
Develop and Deploy System SolutionsDevelop system specifications as well as develop and maintain application programs, modules and reportsSystem solution is signed off by business areas and appropriate Primary Care and Community Information Services team members prior to LIVE implementation
 Configure and customize system solutions to meet the business requirements 
 Develop test plans and scripts and complete testing for system solution 
 Apply Primary Care & Community Information Services team standards 
Develop Standards and GuidelinesUpdate existing and develop new technical standards and guidelinesAll applicable standards and guidelines have been updated
 Apply PCCS standards and guidelines to all assigned tasksAll missing standards and guidelines have been developed
User Readiness & SupportParticipate in the knowledge transfer of new change requests developments to team members, including trainersSystem users are trained and able to use the system solution for its intended purpose
 Prepare user readiness, and application support documentation to support the automated workflow and clinical application 
 Provide on-site support for system users when necessary 

Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:  

  • PARIS (Mandatory)
  • Profile EMR (Mandatory)
  • Visual Basic
  • SQL Server

Education:

  • A Degree in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of four (4) years of related Consulting Category experience; or
  • A Diploma in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of five (5) years of related Consulting Category experience; or 
  • A Certificate in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of six (6) years of related Consulting Category experience; or 
  • An absolute minimum of eight (8) years of directly related Consulting Category experience.
